We were amazed at once by the AS8, from the enormity of the stereo sweet spot and the depth of image coming from these funny looking things. It was like the image could be heard in stereo from anywhere in the room, something none of the other box speakers could do at all.

This feature was of particular interest to me at Sertso, because the control room is small and bass frequencies tend to sound bigger than they are in reality because of the room shape and size. I began using them for mixing and mastering and was again immediately impressed with the results, which translated very well to all other playback systems.

The biggest thing I noticed when first listening to these speakers was the clarity and cleanliness of the sound. I heard sounds on familiar songs that I never knew were there. It was like sitting in the recording studio listening to the recording being made. Best value for quality out there by far.

Set mine up yesterday in a “hostile” environment – lots of sound reflecting surfaces and white noise — and they sound better than any previous effort in this room and I’ve made plenty! They look fantastic (I have the red ones) and *everyone* comments on them. Very, very happy with my purchase.

There is a beauty and immediacy to the sound that these speakers generate, that is different to any other speakers that I’ve heard. I have these setup for my office, and find they are perfect for conferencing as well as listening to my digital music collection when I have some down time. Had the AS8 system for a while and now have one in our media (TV) room and one on our CD player in the lounge. I say amazing because going back through my (60s) 70s and 80s music when they played instruments and not just electronics the clarity and nuances of all the sounds come out in living colour. You hear every instrument as if you were in the mosh pit. How it stops the reflections and echoes in the rooms is something for the boffins to understand, I just know it leaves a crisp sound in your ears and that’s it!

The 3D sound imaging is amazing. I live in a split level house. The speakers are upstairs and I’m usually on the lower level … My friend asked me where my speakers were because she felt like the sound was right next to her … Like an invisible presence. I loved that analogy. It wasn’t just a fabrication of my mind but that she experienced that too. I also noticed that I am no longer irritated by my husband’s choice of music when he plays them through these speakers, because I’m not suffering any distortion in the acoustics, Just clean sound. Thanks guys.
